Each of the songs below was brought to us as a rough idea. Often a melody idea, some lyrics and maybe a guitar, piano or even a ukulele! Listen to how the rough song ideas ended up being produced...
TJ writes songs on a ukulele. He brought this one to me with the chords, melody and lyrics and wanted to see if we could take it more of a pop direction.
The same artist then had an idea for a lyric and a basic hook but no melody or chords. I created a beat for him and a simple chord progression. He took that and came back with his melodies. We then produced this:
Abby has a beautiful voice but has been timid about her songwriting. She plays some guitar and writes on that. She brought me this song on her guitar, but we decided to change it to a piano base. Listen to the finished work!
Amelia is a very talented songwriter and solo artist. She performed the guitar parts and vocals but wanted help getting the rest of the arrangement ideas she had in her head into the song. She also wanted to hear what it would sound like with a band.
Greg created a beautiful arrangement on piano of this Christmas classic. He wanted to explore orchestration and arrangement ideas with me. Here is what we ended up with.
